I work collaboratively with clients, tailoring my approach to fit their unique needs and goals. Our sessions often involve exploring personal narratives, life choices, and the deeper existential questions of meaning and purpose. By examining these areas, we uncover insights that can lead to meaningful change and growth. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings. Together, we work on identifying patterns, challenging limiting beliefs, and developing new, more adaptive narratives. This process is not only about addressing immediate concerns but also about fostering a deeper understanding of oneself and one's place in the world. Through this reflective and interactive process, my clients and I collaboratively navigate their paths toward healing and self-discovery, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
My journey began with a bachelor's degree in religious studies, where I developed a curiosity about the psychological aspects of religious and mystical experiences. This led me to the Middle East to explore different religious traditions and cultures, enriching my understanding of spirituality. Upon returning, I worked across various settings in the mental health and substance abuse field, including addiction treatment centers, inpatient and partial day treatment programs, case management, and crisis intervention. These experiences have deeply informed my approach to care. I later completed a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to further my expertise. Outside of work, I am passionate about spending time in nature, hiking, studying plants, and reading. I am also committed to social justice and human rights. These personal interests and values influence my therapeutic approach, creating a holistic, respectful, and empathetic environment for all my clients.
