Angie is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a clinical supervisor, and a Registered Yoga Teacher. She provides individual and relationship counseling, leads workshops, and speaks at local continuing education seminars on the topic of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy. Angie is also the founder of the Holos foundation for transpersonal healing www.holosfound.org, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing legal and accessible psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to the heartland region of the country. Angie is a Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) MDMA Therapy Training Program Trainee.
Angie’s private practice, Holos Counseling is located in Fayetteville AR. She also provides services via telehealth. Angie brings a holistic approach to the services that she provides, drawing from her graduate education in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and undergraduate studies in Human Studies and Philosophy at Warren Wilson College. Prior to starting her private practice, Angie gained 15 of clinical experience working in various settings. Her first clinical internship was with the Spiritual Emergence Network and she worked in the corporate world for a decade working as an Employee Assistance Program counselor and consultant at a major managed behavioral health and wellness company, providing brief counseling and trainings to employees and executives of major corporations.
As many healers on this path, Angie’s journey is strongly informed by her own personal psycho-spiritual work, catalyzed by a disruptive “healing crisis” that called her into this work in her 20’s. In her efforts to stabilize and make sense of her own experience, she has integrated deep insights and is ready to help you do the same.
How I work with clients
You can expect that I will provide you with compassion, respect, warmth, and understanding. My goal is to to help you make sense of your own experience and connect with your own inner healing intelligence, working towards living the fullest expression of your own life. From my education and training, I am most closely aligned with the theories of Transpersonal and Integral Psychology, with many other influences including: Internal Family Systems, Buddhist Psychology, Jungian Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Gestalt and more. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting. I also study shamanism and the healing potential of non-ordinary states. Through my yoga practice and teacher training, I am informed by the psychology of yoga and the wisdom and energy of your body. Most recently, I am embarking on the path of learning Somatic Experiencing, having recently completed my first year.
