Dr. Helfman has nearly 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. Currently in private practice in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Dr. Helfman has been a guest speaker at both national and international conferences on eating disorders, trauma and co-occurring substance use disorders and has published on the topic as well. She is passionate about education and supervises the clinical work of doctoral-level psychology graduate students through her affiliation with the University of Detroit Mercy, where she serves as adjunct professor.
