Brittany Bueno is a psychotherapist that practices Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Psychedelic Integration at Hope Integrative Psychiatry in Los Angeles. She holds a masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Addiction and Recovery from Antioch University, and has studied psychosocial and spiritual paradigms in Kyoto, Japan and Såo Paulo, Brazil. Originally from South San Diego, Brittany is a second generation Mexican American that grew up in Chula Vista, a border town near Tijuana, Mexico. Witnessing the struggles of immigration, human trafficking and substance abuse at a young age, her upbringing led her to explore solutions towards ending the cycles of trauma and violence in today's society. Her clinical training involved working through a trauma informed lens with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking at Peace Over Violence in Downtown Los Angeles, utilizing crisis intervention, psychoeducation and somatic approaches to therapy. Much of her advocacy work has included volunteering for harm reduction services, while providing education and support for communities to help inform and transform difficult psychedelic experiences into opportunities for learning and growth. Through her diverse experience and training in psychotherapy, Brittany's multimodal approach integrates a personalized plan for overcoming mental health challenges that includes how to care for your body, heart, mind, relationships, community and personal vision. Working from a whole person approach and trauma informed lens, she has applied these principles in those with PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders and those experiencing intense transitions in life. She is well versed in altered states of consciousness and is committed to working with individuals in helping them achieve meaningful personal growth towards their highest potential.
