Elizabeth Pettit (they/them), LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Francisco CA
I specialize in providing trauma-informed psychodynamic psychotherapy to the LGBTQQIAAP, Queer, Poly, Gender Non-Conforming and Kinky communities. I also have a passion for Social Justice issues and exploring how systems of oppression impact marginalized communities. I use a harm reduction approach for those who use substances, and I am also enthusiastic about creating a safe space to explore and integrate themes that may arise during the course of a psychedelic journey. I employ a holistic approaches as well as evidence based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing for those who are facing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I am also proud to be a member of the Health at Every Size (HAES) community, and strive to provide competent care for all bodies.
Welcome, I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I studied Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) with a specialization in Somatic Psychotherapy. I have worked in a variety of Community Mental Health settings including Project Open Hand, serving the HIV and Breast Cancer communities, as well as at Conard House, which provides permanent supportive housing to adults. I started working at Healing Realms (a Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy practice in San Francisco) in January 2020, which is also when I opened my doors to my own private practice. I am now offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy directly through my private practice.
I'm currently working with individuals and offer weekly psychotherapy in addition to Ketamine assisted therapy only for folks who already have a primary psychotherapist.
