Erika Bent, LMFT, LPC
Founder, Psychotherapist
San Francisco CA
I use strengths-based and holistic treatments, meaning I draw from different therapeutic modalities based on the needs of each individual client and family.
These are the methods I have found to be the most successful in treating my clients: Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and mindfulness-based techniques.
Over the last 15 years of my career as a psychotherapist, my focus has been on helping individuals navigate the challenges of eating disorders. However, my personal journey has also shaped my professional mission. In my 20s, I faced a breast cancer diagnosis, and through treatment, I was fortunate to make a full recovery. In my 30s, I endured a spinal cord fracture, yet, once again, I miraculously healed. These medical traumas profoundly impacted my health and quality of life, and I am deeply grateful for the second chances I’ve been given.
With this gratitude, I am driven by a mission to offer integrative and evidence-based healthcare to those in need. At Cypress Integrative Wellness, our team possesses exemplary training and experience, and we are ready to support you on your journey to healing. Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
Through my clinical experience, I have worked closely with teens and families and have developed an affinity for this work. I am sincerely passionate about helping families move beyond conflict, cope with illness and stress, and develop healthier patterns of communication.
I am equally interested in helping individuals overcome medical trauma and chronic illness, as this is a deeply personal and meaningful way for me to give back.
I know how hard it is to find mental healthcare that is trustworthy and effective. My goal is to meet each client or family where they are and join together with them through every step of the process.
I have trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and psychedelic integration. KAP has profound healing potential to transform traditional talk therapy. By integrating ketamine into the therapeutic process, clients achieve deeper levels of healing and personal growth. My commitment is to utilize this innovative approach to support clients in overcoming challenges and enhancing their overall well-being.
