Evan Sola, PsyD

Dr.

I meet clients with open curiosity as I come to understand core values, wounds, and repetitive confusions and patterns in daily life. I take on a relaxed and receptive stance as I listen to your story, often bringing awareness to how narratives in the present hold shapes of the past, and generating inquiry into what is needed now for resolution. I take a direct and clear-minded approach to conflict, while remaining compassionate, caring, and nonjudgmental. I use dreams to explore attitudes unconscious to the waking self, and provide psychedelic integration and preparation for those exploring non-ordinary states. I offer extended sessions, or multiple weekly sessions for those managing stressful life adjustments, experiencing crises, spiritual emergencies, etc. I hold your process with dignity, respect, and a sense of wonder in the service of facilitating authentic self reflection and expression in the world.
I'm a psychologist in private practice in Berkeley, a researcher in FDA clinical trials for MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD at UCSF and SF Insight Center, and a provider of Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in private practice and at Sage Integrative Health. I come to psychotherapy from a previous career as a college wrestling coach.
