Jacquie Josephson, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist
Oakland CA
I offer individual talk psychotherapy, EMDR, ketamine-assisted therapy, and psychedelic assisted psychotherapy integration. Typically, I see clients once a week, though in certain cases it is helpful to meet more or less frequently. My style is tailored to the needs of the individual client, and I work to empower the client by creating a collaborative environment. Largely, my approach is non-directive, client-centered, and relational, meaning that I leave space for the client to take the lead and I see the client/therapist relationship as foundational to effective therapy. In other cases, such as with EMDR, the process can look more directive at times. My work is holistic, taking an integrative approach, appreciating the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I work from a psychodynamic lens, meaning that I appreciate the impact that early childhood experiences have in shaping our self-view and way of interacting with the world. Lastly, my work is trauma-informed which offers an understanding of the impact of traumas, big or small, on an individual’s functioning. My aim is to provide clients a greater sense of wellbeing by feeling more at home with themselves, connected and trustful of their inner wisdom.
