Jen Haller, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Wichita Falls TX
My therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration, empathy, and personalized interventions that support each client's healing journey.
Initial Assessment and Rapport Building
- Creating a Safe Space: In the first session, I establish a warm environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Active listening and validation of their feelings are essential.
- Comprehensive Intake: I conduct a thorough assessment to understand the client’s background, challenges, and therapy goals, including discussions about physical health and significant life events.
Goal Setting
- Collaborative Goals: We define clear, achievable therapeutic goals together. For example, if a client struggles with anxiety, we may focus on developing coping strategies.
- Flexibility: I emphasize that goals can evolve as healing is not always linear. We regularly revisit and adjust goals based on the client’s insights and progress.
Holistic Therapeutic Interventions
- Mindfulness and Somatic Practices: I use mindfulness exercises and somatic techniques to help clients connect with their bodies and emotions. For instance, I may guide them through breathing exercises to ground themselves during distress.
- Creative Expression: For those who find verbal expression challenging, I incorporate creative modalities like art therapy and journaling to explore emotions non-verbally.
- Trauma-Informed Techniques: I apply trauma-informed approaches, such as narrative therapy, to help clients reframe their experiences and build resilience.
Community and Support Systems
- Building Connections: I encourage clients to identify and strengthen their support systems, exploring community resources that align with their needs.
Overall, my holistic, collaborative, and adaptive approach empowers clients to cultivate resilience and self-awareness as we navigate their healing journeys together.
With over 15 years of experience in Hospice and Palliative Care, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of end-of-life experiences. My professional journey has been profoundly influenced by personal losses, including the passing of my mother from Alzheimer’s Disease in May 2022 and my husband in a tragic hiking accident shortly after. These events intensified my grief and unearthed repressed childhood trauma, prompting a deep search for healing.
In August 2022, I traveled to Jamaica for a transformative 7-day Psilocybin experience. This journey allowed me to unravel decades of societal conditioning and find healing from my past traumas and recent losses—something traditional therapies had not fully addressed.
Now, I am committed to empowering others who feel broken, emphasizing that they are not inherently flawed. I believe in the transformative power of nature and plant medicine for healing. I recognize the importance of integrating insights from these experiences, as they often unfold over time. My goal is to provide guidance and support, helping others navigate their paths toward healing and renewal. Together, we can create a safe space for exploration, growth, and transformation.
Healing should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic status. To support this, I offer a sliding scale for my services, ensuring affordability. Payments can be made conveniently through Venmo or Zelle.
Integration is a vital and ongoing process, and I am committed to working alongside my clients for as long as they need support. My practice is spiritually oriented, yet I welcome individuals from all backgrounds.
My healing space is open to everyone, providing a safe environment for exploration and growth. My hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (CT) Additionally, I am available for pre- and post-plant medicine journeys, with ample preparation and scheduling to ensure a supportive experience.
