Jenny Gomez, MA
Registered Psychotherapist
Toronto ON
I am a compassionate and intuitive clinician, and I strive to offer my clients presence and safety, while guiding them to realize their own personal power and capacity for change. I aim to help clients become intentional in creating the lives they desire, and my approach to therapy is rooted in compassion and acceptance. My work is attachment and trauma informed.
I can help support individuals in exploring the different facets of the human experience. I believe there is strength in knowing all parts of ourselves deeply and intimately - including that which we see as unwanted or painful. In my work, I emphasize the power of the mind-body connection and the importance of mindfulness. I have also come to treasure the importance of self-care, self-discovery, and self-awareness. Becoming connected to oneself often means doing the hard, messy things in service of creating a life that is nourishing, fulfilling, and meaningful. My ultimate goal is to support clients in becoming the most integrated, connected, and authentic versions of themselves.
I am a PhD candidate and therapist who has worked in private practice, educational, and community settings and am involved in both research and clinical work in the area of non-suicidal self-injury. I have a keen interest in transpersonal experiences, altered states of consciousness, and in helping people explore their identities and stories. I holds an MA in Counselling Psychology and am currently completing a PhD in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
