KAP Therapist
Pleasant Grove UT
I work with clients by using a sense of humor, compassion, and non-judgment to build a strong therapeutic alliance and trust in the relationship. I believe that every client has an inner healer and the capacity to be resilient, and treat every client with respect and care.
I graduated from Boise State University with a Master’s in Social Work in 2021 and in addition to being a Certified Social Worker, I have an Advanced Substance Use Disorder license from Utah Valley University. I have worked in a residential substance abuse treatment center for several years as a counselor and case manager and have recent experience with inpatient and outpatient treatment for eating disorders and co-occuring mental health issues. I use my personal experience in recovery and compassion for others to create a safe, non-judgmental and sometimes even fun place for therapy. I believe in addressing the core issues and instilling hope when people are struggling. In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures with my husband and daughter, hiking all over Utah with my pup, crocheting, and reading. I also volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and lead Caretaker and Early Dementia support groups for the organization.
