Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapist and Psychedelic Guide
Portland OR
Psychedelic experiences can open powerful doorways to healing, insight, and transformation—but the real work happens in how we integrate those experiences into daily life. I offer a grounded, body-centered approach to psychedelic integration and Cannabis-Assisted Somatic Psychotherapy (CASP), helping you make sense of non-ordinary states of consciousness, embody their wisdom, and navigate your healing process with intention.
I’m a gay/queer therapist, spiritual seeker, and activist from East Tennessee. Growing up in the rural South instilled in me a love for Nature and Spirit and lit a fire in my heart for social justice. My relationship with cannabis goes back to my early 20s, when it played an instrumental role in accepting my sexuality, undoing religious fundamentalism, reorganizing my worldview, and coping with my father’s death in jail. Over the years, cannabis has continued to be an ally on my journey of trauma healing and personal growth. I am so grateful, and I honor this ancient, sun-loving plant that has been growing on Earth for nearly 30 million years. Now I live with my husband in Portland, where I enjoy practicing yoga, spending time in nature, vegetarian cooking, playing piano, and reading sci-fi and fantasy novels. These practices help me stay grounded, and I draw from them to inspire and inform the work I do with my clients.
I'm a licensed therapist in Oregon and California. Based in NW Portland (Slabtown), I offer individual therapy for adults located anywhere in Oregon or California. Sessions can be held in person or online (by Zoom). Cannabis-Assisted Somatic Psychotherapy combines the entheogenic use of cannabis with mindfulness and somatic therapy to support healing, integration, and personal growth. In CASP sessions, cannabis serves as a gentle yet profound tool for deepening emotional access, loosening mental defenses, and expanding self-awareness. Unlike more intense psychedelic experiences, CASP allows for greater flexibility and agency, helping you move between inner exploration and real-time therapeutic processing in a way that feels safe and supportive. This work is approached with deep reverence for the cannabis plant, recognizing it as a powerful ally in healing, integration, and inner exploration. When engaged with mindful intention and therapeutic guidance, cannabis can foster a deeper connection to the wisdom held within the body and the natural world. I also provide psychedelic integration support for individuals at any stage of their process, whether you’re preparing for a psychedelic journey or plant medicine ceremony, processing past experiences, or simply seeking to cultivate a deeper connection to yourself. If you’re looking for an approach that honors the wisdom of the body, the power of relational healing, and the sacred nature of integration, I invite you to reach out and explore whether we might be a good fit for this work.
