Margaret Brako, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I support clients in exploring how our experiences with family, community, and other systems impact our sense of self and safety. Using cognitive, somatic, and relational therapy approaches, we’ll build more understanding around the coping strategies that no longer serve you, and practice new ways for interacting with yourself and others.
Margaret is passionate about helping people find a sense of love and safety within themselves. Her practice emphasizes trauma-informed and culturally responsive care for anxiety, depression, and relational trauma. She received her Masters in Social Work from New York University in 2014. From 2012-2019, she worked in community-based programs, helping unhoused and underserved clients manage trauma, depression, and psychosis. In 2020, she trained in Ketamine Assisted Therapy at Sage Integrative Health, where she now provides both short and long term therapy. Her practice is also informed by her identities as a queer, Black woman and a first-generation American.
