Maria Reardon, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I would describe myself to be down-to-earth, warm, friendly, and relatable. I have been told I am professional yet I keep it real. I meet my clients "where they are at" (figuratively speaking) as I find that to be key in building a trusting relationship. Like any relationship, it takes time to grow and nurture. Therapy is a process and is not a quick and easy fix. Whatever issue the client comes into with therapy is usually a surface level problem. There is always something deeper that is fueling the problems. I like to take clients into the depths of themselves and explore their roots.
Early in 2020, I realized I was working myself to the ground. Constantly on the go with work, motherhood, couplehood, friends, and my own self-care (which was clearly lacking the most). I decided to leave my stable job and start my own practice. I am interested in psychedelics as it can be a tool used to strengthen the connection within. It opens a pathway that leads you to inner growth, acceptance, openness, and self-love. I do not offer psychedelics yet am open to hearing and working through psychedelic experiences one has had in order to process and learn from them.
I typically work with individual, couples, and families. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. I am located in the Brandon/Riverview/Valrico area of Florida. I am in the office Mondays/Tuesdays from 12pm-8pm and Wednesdays/Thursdays from 9am-5pm. Fridays are as needed.
