How I work with clients
I start with a comprehensive health history and when appropriate order labs and genetic testing. My approach may include recommendations on diet, herbs, supplements, exercise, and medications. My counseling style borrows elements from Buddhist psychology, motivational interviewing, and Hakomi (a mindfulness-based somatic therapy). I always talk about meditation. For those engaging in work with psychedelics, I do harm-reduction consulting and integration counseling. I also offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy in my practice at Whole Systems Healthcare in Portland, OR.
