Michael Sprague, MSW

Social Worker
Toronto ON
Starting from a humanist lens, Michael promotes awareness, acceptance, expression, and transformation in his work with clients. Through years of experience working with those struggling with substance use concerns, Michael has developed an inclusive, anti-oppressive framework that helps to create the space and the freedom for his clients to overcome the challenges they are facing.
Michael completed his Master’s of Social Work in 2013, and has worked largely within an addiction framework ever since, utilizing an approach that combines cognitive-behavioural and emotion-focused therapies. Michael has extensive experience helping clients interact and engage with their substance use as well as underlying concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and trauma. Michael is also trained to help clients in preparation and integration of psychedelic and non-ordinary state of consciousness experiences.
