Mila Gerson, PhD, LCSW
Psychotherapist
Olympia WA
I offer a confidential and non-judgemental approach acknowledging differences, but with respect for each person’s gender identity, sexuality, religion, spirituality, race, culture, age, and history. I acknowledge the impact and influence of inter generational trauma on our lives, and the impact of power on our collective well-being.
I do not accept insurance, but to provide access to services I have a sliding scale to strive to accommodate the needs of the individual.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience in multiple settings including hospice and palliative care with children and adults. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work, a PhD in Palliative Care, and have completed research about Medical Aid in Dying, and desire for hastened death.
I offer psychotherapy and support for people experiencing fear, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or coping with loss, chronic or serious illness, and death and dying. I also provide support and counseling for healthcare workers coping with trauma, burnout, and compassion fatigue. I primarily see clients virtually but may see clients at my Lacey, WA office for face-to-face visits. I am licensed to offer therapy in the states of Washington, and Oregon.
