Hey there! I'm Nikki Casey, a compassionate and experienced therapist responding to my calling to support individuals in their journey towards healing and well-being. First things first, my pronouns are she and her. I grew up and reside on Dakota Land in Minneapolis, MN. I'm a proud Enneagram number nine and Myers-Briggs INFP. My path thus far has taken me on quite the adventure. After completing my undergraduate degree in journalism at UW Madison, I followed my curiosity of other cultures and spent a whole decade living and working in various corners of the world, from Southeast Asia to Africa, Europe to the Caribbean. Along the way, I developed a deep interest in ancient wisdom, ways of knowing, and how they all shape our relationships, families, and cultures. Here's the thing I've come to realize: we don't always have to search outside of ourselves for wisdom. We all have our own inner intelligence right within us. Following my intuition, I decided to return to the US and embark on a new adventure: getting married, starting a family, and diving into the study of psychology and marriage and family therapy. Fast forward to today, and I've been practicing as a licensed marriage and family therapist for over a decade. It's been an incredible journey witnessing profound transformations. But you know what? I believe that talk therapy alone has its limitations. That's why I'm a strong advocate for a more integrated approach which incorporates body, mind, and soul. Recent research and my own healing journey have ignited my passion for the potential of psychedelic medicine to revolutionize mental health for individuals and our community as a whole. I firmly believe that one person's healing contributes to the healing of the collective, and I'm honored to be part of this movement.
A typical fully-integrated course of treatment looks similar to this: Mental Health/Diagnostic Assessment (1 hour with therapist) Medical Intake (1 hour with physician): Preparation Psychotherapy Session (55 minutes): Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) (2 - 3 hours) Integration Psychotherapy Session (55 minutes)
