I was born in Angola in 1971 but immigrated to the USA with my family when I was 5 years old. In the early ’90s, I engaged in self-exploration with the classic psychedelics and had many experiences that were transformative but challenging. I later got a BA in Philosophy and an MA in Comparative Philosophy, where I focused in Buddhist Logic, and the philosophy of language and mind. I also got an MS in Mental Health Counseling.
How I work with clients
The foundation of my work is mindfulness based, emotion focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, but I also use other modalities like EMDR and draw on insights from neuroscience and various wisdom traditions.
