Ryan Hicks, LPC, LMFT
I am here to help slow down; deepen your experience of your thoughts & emotions; and help with the tools for your relationships with friends, family, or partners. Often times, our real problems in life are actually the ways that we avoid our own difficult experiences of our inner world. This keeps us from fully engaging with our life in a meaningful way, leading to depression and anxiety; or keeping us from processing our trauma. Being engaged with our thoughts and emotions leads to more solid connections with others in our life, and grows our sense of well-being. I want to help you live the connected, present life that you have been missing.
I provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for individuals who have not found regular talk therapy helpful, or who are in need of a less traditional form of treatment. KAP has been shown to be a promising new approach in working with Treatment Resistant Depression as well as PTSD. KAP is not magic, but the combination of the medicine with talk therapy allows for therapy to be more helpful than it might have been otherwise and makes the changes you would like feel possible again. I strongly believe that Ketamine is a powerful tool when used in conjunction with therapy. I'm passionate about providing this new form of treatment for anyone needing to break their negative cycles and make the changes they want in life!
