I am a licensed psychotherapist practicing in Washington State (greater Seattle area) where I have been in practice since 2011. I have earned my Masters degree in counseling psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and completed a Chemical Dependency Counseling certificate program at Whatcom Community College. I have experience working with all ages with clients as young as three which has enhanced my understanding of the role of early childhood experience in the development of the personality.
My dream as a therapist is to practice psychedelic-assisted therapy as a legal form of therapy and am hopeful this will be possible within the next 5 years. I have seen the transformative power these mind-manifesting substances can have including, but also far beyond the domain of mental health. Personally, as someone who has suffered from severe, chronic migraines since early childhood and struggled with crippling existential dread about my own mortality as a young adult, psychedelics have had a profound impact on my health and how I understand and live my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to come along side others and play a supportive role in their own transformative process.
How I work with clients
I offer psychedelic-integration counseling, which can mean a variety of things:
1. Brief or long-term therapy where past psychedelic experiences play a prominent role in the material we focus on.
2. Pre- and post- trip sessions for preparation and processing.
3. Ongoing therapy where we share an understanding that your trips are valid and intentional sources of insight and transformation and are freely explored within sessions.
I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy which is a legal form of treatment that has proven particularly effective in treating depression.
